Hayden Bridges & City Council

City Council Recognizes Eagle Scouts
At the last 2 regular meetings of the Bessemer City Council proclamations were adopted recognizing the achievements of Hayden Bridges and Sean Grigg. Both Hayden and Sean are members of Boy Scout Troop 54 of Garrison Memorial ARP Church in Bessemer City and both recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  For his Eagle Project Hayden Bridges constructed the Nature Trail in Bessemer City Park and Sean Grigg painted the exterior of his church, Sunset Lane Baptist.

Yard of the Week
The Bessemer City Yard of the Week is selected by the Bessemer City Image Committee. The Image Committee's goal is to improve the overall appearance of Bessemer City by doing volunteer work like planting flowers and making suggestions to the City Council and Staff on how to improve the appearance of Bessemer City.

The Bessemer City Image Committee would like to congratulate all the winners of BC Yard of the Week and thank the citizens that helped the Image Committee this year. The Committee would also like to thank the Gaston Gazette for publishing the Yard of the Week winners.
