Senior Citizen Trip The Bessemer City Recreation Department’s Senior Citizen group recently went on a bus trip to Lake Norman. The trip included a lake tour aboard the Catawba Queen, lunch and wonderful fellowship. On the tour numerous celebrities homes were sited such as Bert Reynolds, Kasey Kahne, and Julius Peppers just to mention a few.
After the boat tour, the group of fifty got back on the bus and headed to JR’s Variety Store in Statesville. Some took advantage of the discounted prices on all items and began their Christmas shopping early. It was then time to board the bus and head back. A good time was had by all!
