Project “Pool Pass”

The Bessemer City Police Department is now offering youth 16 and under a unique opportunity to earn a FREE fun day in the sun with project “Pool Pass”! This new project is funded by the United States Department of Justice COPS grant and is exclusive to local Bessemer City youth. Project “Pool Pass” is a program designed to encourage our youth to get involved through community service and random acts of kindness. Pool passes will be given to children who complete random acts of kindness or community service by: picking up trash, helping a neighbor do yard work, helping an elderly person take in groceries, etc. So recommend a child today! For more information on how to get involved or to recommend a child please contact Officer Billy Fields at 704-629-2235. Each pool pass will be redeemed for one day admission at the Bessemer City Swimming Pool located at 220 S. 14th Street Bessemer City, NC 28016. The Bessemer City Pool is open daily from 1:00PM—6:00PM. Hours are subject to change, so call before making plans 704-629-5111. All Pool Passes must be used by Saturday, August 26th, 2017.
