Bessemer City, North Carolina-
Overnight on April 14, 2024, several unlocked motor vehicles were entered, and items were stolen, including a firearm. These incidents occurred on Crowders Mountain Road, West Gaston Avenue, and Caswell Avenue in Bessemer City. The suspect is a white male wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and a mask. At this time, he appears only to target unlocked vehicles, as no locked cars were entered.
This is a reminder to lock up all vehicles, outbuildings, and your home. Do not leave valuables inside your vehicles and turn on your outside lights. These are things you can do to not become a victim.
