Virtual Meeting Instructions
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, public attendance at the December 14, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting will be limited in order to maintain the safety of Bessemer City residents, staff, and the elected officials. Please note, that those who attend the meeting must wear a mask and will be subject to a temperature check before entry is permitted.
City Hall will be limited to ten (10) people per Executive Order No. 181.
The meeting will BROADCAST LIVE on Facebook and the instructions on how to join are listed below. Please contact Josh Ross at (704) 729-6505 for more details.
Citizens will be provided an opportunity for public comment. You can submit your public comment in the following ways:
BY EMAIL: jross@bessemercity.com by 12:00 pm 12/14/2020.
BY MAIL: Attention City Clerk, 132 West Virginia Avenue Bessemer City, NC 28016.
IN PERSON: Please note that the City will be limiting the number of individuals in City
Hall to ten (10).
Individual comments are limited to three minutes per person (approximately 500 words
for written comment) and one submission per person.
Citizens providing comment must provide their full name, address, and may not yield
their time to others.
Citizens may comment on any topic of their choice; however, please indicate if the
comment is in response to a Public Hearing topic on the Agenda.
Other Meeting Information:
The City reserves the right to remove any person from the meeting that is a distraction, anyone utilizing profanity, or anyone disrupting the meeting in any way.
The City reserves the right to make additional changes to improve this meeting in any way to make improvements.
