Public Works Week: May 19-24, 2024
Public Works Week, celebrated annually during the third full week of May, is a dedicated time to recognize and honor the vital contributions of public works professionals in our communities. These dedicated individuals ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of essential infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water and sewage systems, public buildings, and more. Through their hard work and commitment, they enhance public safety, health, and overall quality of life.
Public Works Week serves as an opportunity to educate the public about the importance of public infrastructure and the critical role these professionals play in creating and maintaining sustainable and resilient communities.
