Bessemer City, North Carolina – April 5, 2024 – Bessemer City has been awarded a significant boost in its efforts to enhance stormwater management through a generous grant of $340,000 from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). This funding is earmarked for stormwater asset management and planning, marking a pivotal moment in the city’s commitment to environmental stewardship and infrastructure development.  This eligibility comes from the Local Assistance for Stormwater Infrastructure Investments (LASII) Grant Program.
