BESSEMER CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT LOCATES TWO MISSING JUVENILES SAFE AND UNHARMED

 

Bessemer City, NC – (Wednesday, May 13, 2026)The Bessemer City Police Department has safely located two teenage girls who were previously reported missing.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, members of the department’s Detective Bureau received information that advanced the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 15-year-old Madison Lynn Pruitt and 16-year-old Lexie Kiser.

The information directed investigators to the area of Puetts Chapel Road. A Bessemer City Police detective assigned to the case, along with a uniformed patrol officer, responded to the location to continue the investigation and attempt to locate the juveniles.

Upon arrival, officers successfully located both teenage girls. After making contact, investigators confirmed that both juveniles were safe and unharmed and that their disappearance did not involve foul play. They have since been reunited with their families.

Pruitt and Kiser had been reported missing after they were last seen together on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

The Bessemer City Police Department appreciates the assistance provided by the community throughout the investigation and thanks those who shared information related to the case.
