The City of Bessemer City is seeking a dependable, hardworking professional to join our Public Works Department as a Public Works Technician. This position plays an important role in maintaining the City’s streets, grounds, facilities, and public spaces while helping provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.
The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and making a visible impact in the community. Responsibilities include landscaping and grounds maintenance, mowing, trimming, tree and shrub care, collecting yard waste and debris, installing street signs, maintaining storm drains, assisting with special events, performing minor repairs, and supporting water and sewer maintenance activities when needed.
As a member of the Public Works team, you will help keep Bessemer City looking its best while supporting daily operations that make our community thrive.
