The Bessemer City Police Department provides a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of unwanted or expired medications year-round. Proper disposal helps prevent prescription drug misuse, accidental overdoses and protects our water and environment from contamination
Residents may dispose of unwanted medications with no questions asked by using the secure medication drop box located inside the Bessemer City Police Department lobby.
The medication drop box is available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., during normal business days. Instructions for proper disposal are posted at the drop box.
Please note: The drop box is not available after hours, on weekends, or on days when City offices are closed.
