Bessemer City Event/Program Cancellations
With the rise of numbers of infections and deaths in Gaston County due to COVID 19 the City of Bessemer City has determined that public gatherings are not in the interest of public health and would also be in violation of the Executive Order by Governor Roy Cooper. As such, the City has determined that the following events for 2020 will be cancelled. This decision was made after hours of discussion between staff and the elected officials, and while no one wants to cancel our annual Christmas events we feel that any mass gathering under conditions place all of our citizens in harm’s way. We look forward to 2021 with plans and hope for a full calendar of events.
