FY 2027 Budget & Strategic Plan Unanimously Approved
At the June 8, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting, the Bessemer City City Council unanimously approved the FY 2027 Budget and the FY 2027 Strategic Plan, continuing a strong commitment to responsible service, thoughtful investment, and the future of our community.
The adopted budget supports the daily services residents rely on while also investing in needed resources, projects, materials, staffing support, infrastructure needs, public safety, community development, and quality-of-life improvements.
The FY 2027 Strategic Plan helps guide this work through five key goals:
✅ Promote a desirable place to live and work that provides a healthy quality of life
✅ Ensure a safe and secure community for residents and visitors
✅ Invest in high-quality infrastructure to support a thriving and diverse economy
✅ Provide opportunities for citizen engagement and promote volunteerism
✅ Foster organizational sustainability that embraces innovation and creativity
