City Advisory: Friday, June 26th Fireworks Display & Modified Pool Hours

Bessemer City is hosting a large fireworks display this Friday, June 26, 2026, at approximately 9:45 PM. In preparation for the evening festivities, residents should be aware of a few schedule adjustments and community reminders for the day.

Modified City Pool Hours

Due to the evening fireworks event, the Bessemer City Pool will operate under modified hours on Friday, June 26th.

• Open Hours: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Please Note: Toddler Time will not be held this Friday.

Community & Pet Safety Reminder

Because the loud noises and bright flashes associated with fireworks can be disruptive, the city requests that residents take proactive steps to ensure a comfortable evening for everyone:

• Sensory Sensitivities: Community members who are sensitive to sudden sounds or flashing lights are encouraged to take any necessary precautions and plan ahead.

• Pet Owners: Residents are strongly advised to secure their pets indoors before the show begins to keep them safe and secure.
