Announcements|

The Gaston-Cleveland-Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization (GCLMPO) has opened a 15-day public comment period, running from July 24, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Community members are invited to review and provide feedback on proposed local input point assignments for Regional Impact transportation projects under NCDOT’s Prioritization 8.0 (P8.0) process. These decisions will directly shape the region’s 2028–2037 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) across Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln Counties. A separate comment window focusing on Division Needs projects is scheduled to follow in October 2026.

Members of the public can submit written feedback via mail, email, or fax to Principal Transportation Planner Tori Dellinger, provided comments are received by the August 7 deadline. Additionally, public comments can be shared in person during two upcoming GCLMPO meetings: the Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM, or the Board meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Full details on draft project lists, maps, and the local input point methodology are available on the GCLMPO website.
