Clean drinking water is one of the most essential public services a city delivers. Behind the scenes, our water plant operators and utility personnel work around the clock monitoring water quality, maintaining critical infrastructure, responding to operational challenges, and ensuring dependable service for residents, businesses, schools, and public safety operations.
Their work directly supports public health, economic growth, fire protection, and the overall quality of life we enjoy in Bessemer City. While much of their service happens quietly and out of public view, its importance cannot be overstated.
