Public Notice: Rezoning Public Hearing
The City of Bessemer City will hold a public hearing to consider Rezoning Application CD01-2026 during the regular monthly City Council meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Bessemer City Hall, 132 West Virginia Avenue, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
The request is to rezone approximately 10.53 acres from Neighborhood Residential and Urban Residential to Conditional District – Urban Residential for the proposed development of a 38-lot conservation subdivision with single-family detached homes. The properties included in the request are identified as Parcel IDs 151790, 151791, 151792, 151793, 151794, and 202266.
All interested residents and members of the public are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comments. Written comments may also be submitted to the Planning & Zoning Department prior to the meeting.
Application materials are available for public review at City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
