The City of Bessemer City is seeking a motivated, safety-conscious professional to join our Public Works Department as a Natural Gas Technician. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and expanding the City’s natural gas distribution system through the installation, repair, inspection, and maintenance of gas mains, service lines, meters, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and committed to providing safe, reliable utility services while delivering exceptional customer service.
Working alongside an experienced team, the Natural Gas Technician responds to service requests and emergency calls, performs regulatory compliance inspections, operates specialized equipment, and helps ensure the integrity of the City’s natural gas system.
