About the Project
Gaston County has been awarded over $43,000,000 in Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (Recovery Funding), as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Part of this funding has been designated for the Tryon Water Line Project. This project will design and install a new waterline to serve the Tryon Community, Tryon Elementary School, and Tryon Park from Bessemer City. During construction, some property owners may have the option to connect to the new waterline. It is not mandatory to connect to this new waterline.
A Community meeting will be planned and more information about this option will be available prior to construction.
