BCPD Community Watch Program:Waste PRO-TECTION:Staff/Contacts:

community-watch-committeeThe Bessemer City Community Watch Program is an effective way to prevent crime in neighborhoods throughout Bessemer City and get the community involved in crime prevention.  This is an opportunity for residents in the community to come together to report concerns, think of ways to better the safety of our neighborhoods, and assist with developing a plan of action to ensure the safety of all citizens in Bessemer City.

The Bessemer City Police Department meets the first Thursday of every month at the Kiser Senior Center to discuss community watch activities.  The meetings began at 6:30PM.  The meetings will be held at the Kiser Senior Center until further notice while the Bessemer City Community Center undergoes renovations.

If you would like additional information or have questions, please contact the Bessemer City Police Department at (704) 629-2235.

waste-pro-tection-sticker_001Waste Pro-Tection is a community awareness initiative in partnership with local law enforcement in an effort to better serve municipalities. The concept is simple, our employees, who perform waste collection duties, report unusual or suspicious activity to the local law enforcement for follow up. Training is provided by law enforcement to our employees on how to handle potential evidence and what kind of activities to look for in the neighborhoods they are servicing. Contact the Bessemer City Police Department for more information.
