City of Bessemer City Announces Closure of Offices and Facilities Due to Icy Conditions
Bessemer City, NC — January 25, 2026 — Due to ongoing icy conditions and continued hazardous roadways, all City of Bessemer City offices and facilities will be closed to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026.
City officials are urging residents to avoid travel as temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing, which will cause road conditions to remain dangerous throughout the day.
Residents are encouraged to monitor City communications for updated information.
Monday trash service is suspended. Waste Pro will assess conditions on Tuesday and provide additional updates.
